The post where I get mushy
Anyone who writes knows that you don't do it on your own. There are many people, some you may only know through the Internet but who know you better than anyone, who support you and prop you up on days when you think everything you write sucks and who celebrate with you when you finally get that first acceptance letter. I think I have the best support team in the world, and I just wanted to give them a shout out.
To Michelle, my editor at Torquere, who was great to work with.
To Sloan Parker, who let me pick her brain about short stories when I first started writing "Realize."
To my two SILs, who are great cheerleaders and secret keepers.
To my doctors, who make sure I'm still alive and kicking.
To the best group of beta readers (and dear, dear friends) anyone can have:
To a wonderful group of friends, who sat with me in a pub in Chicago last summer and told me I could do this. I can't wait to see you all again!
To Greta, who was the first person I ever let read anything I'd written and my first cheerleader.
And, never last or least, to my husband. He's pretty sure I'm certifiable, and he still loves me with all his heart. You can't ask for more than that in life. I never forget how lucky I am. Love you, baby.
